Cartwheel 2025 in Review 🎄✨

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the partnerships we deepened, the progress we made, and the product we shipped together. Huge thanks to our customers, partners, and the Cartwheel team for the trust and collaboration that helped turn ambitious plans into production-ready solutions.

This year, we focused on strengthening our core enterprise delivery business while expanding through 🚚 catering, 🛒 new verticals, and 🌍 international expansion. Here’s how the year played out.

Here’s a month-by-month look at how the year unfolded:

January — Toast Sales Kickoff 🍞

We kicked off the year at the Toast Sales Kickoff, aligning with the Toast team on how Cartwheel supports catering, Hybrid Delivery, and opens up new markets and opportunities for shared brands.

February – FOD Outstanding Operators 🏅

We were happy to celebrate three FOD Outstanding Operators powered by Cartwheel: Portillo’s, Potbelly, and Jason’s Deli. These brands are leading the way in off-premise and catering delivery, and we’re glad Cartwheel is part of the delivery engine behind their recognition.

March – Jason’s Deli 🥗

We announced the successful launch of Cartwheel for Olo Catering+ and ezCater across 250+ Jason’s Deli locations, enabling a single workflow for drivers and consistent tracking for guests across both channels, reducing manual work at the store level. Read the press release.

April – Lou Malnati’s 🍕

Lou Malnati’s deepened its hybrid delivery with Cartwheel’s AI-powered platform, using intelligent auto-dispatch, smarter routing, and clearer reporting to support a high-volume, multi-market pizza operation. Read the press release.

Lou Malnati’s put Cartwheel to work during their busiest days—Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, and beyond—achieving significantly faster deliveries and seamless high-volume order management.

May – MonkeyMedia 🐵

We expanded our catering ecosystem with MonkeyMedia. By combining MONKEY’s catering management tools with Cartwheel’s delivery platform, brands gain greater visibility, streamline driver coordination, and improve on-time performance, all of which are critical for high-volume, time-sensitive catering operations.

June – Qu ⚡️

We announced our partnership with Qu to help restaurants meet the growing demand with scalable, efficient, and fully integrated delivery management solutions.

Here’s an insight: according to Qu’s 2025 State of Digital Report, 40% of restaurants expect first-party digital ordering to be their top revenue driver this year.

July – PAR 💻

We partnered with PAR Technology to bring AI-powered delivery orchestration into PAR’s unified platform, used by 120,000+ restaurants worldwide, helping pizza and other delivery-first brands outgrow legacy POS and manage delivery across markets at scale.

The move aligns with the shift back to direct ordering. PAR’s 2025 Annual Industry Report showed first-party ordering up 21.3% YoY while third-party delivery declined 5.7%.

August – Uber Direct International & Stuart 🌍

We extended our Uber Direct work internationally, laying the groundwork for grocery and retail delivery in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia.

We also partnered with Stuart, adding another strong last-mile option for international brands that rely on Cartwheel to coordinate in-house fleets and third parties. Stuart is one of Europe’s leading delivery providers, active in 120+ cities with extensive courier coverage across restaurants, retail, groceries, and marketplaces.

September – WOWorks 🍅

WOWorks expanded our partnership to bring delivery management for ezCater orders across its franchise locations. WOWorks franchisees have relied on Cartwheel through Olo for years, and are now extending those delivery capabilities to ezCater, with real-time tracking for all their guests. Read the full press release.

October – Mo’ Bettahs 🌺

Mo’ Bettahs went live with a Hybrid catering model powered by Cartwheel. With our technology, Mo’ Bettahs’ drivers deliver the brand’s Hawaiian spirit to customers’ doors, while our real-time tracking and logistics tools ensure the catering experience is just as authentic outside the restaurant as it is inside. Read the full press release.

November – SOC 2 🔒

We received SOC 2 certification, formalizing the security and reliability standards that enterprise brands expect from their delivery orchestration platform. Security has been a priority since day one, with enterprise partners like Portillo’s, P.F. Chang’s, and Potbelly setting a high standard for how we protect data and ensure reliability.

December – Groceries & Retail with Uber Direct 🛒

We made meaningful progress on one of our big 2025 goals: expanding beyond restaurants. Cartwheel is now live for grocery and retail, supporting same-day delivery through Uber Direct, with Cartwheel coordinating the delivery workflow.

🎄🎅 Looking ahead – Delivery 3.0

Our main goal for 2026 is to build what we call Delivery 3.0 and make it the core focus for Cartwheel and our partners.

This next chapter is about the orchestration layer that, in real time, determines which option creates the most value for each order across in-house fleets, DSPs, and, over time, autonomous vehicles and robots. Our CEO, Alex Vasilkin, recently shared this vision in QSR Magazine’s 2026 trends article, and everything we shipped in 2025 is laying the groundwork for it.
